180 North Wacker is an interesting little building that does a pretty good job of looking older than it is. It accomplishes this feat by incorporating a red brick façade, which complements a few of the older buildings in the neighborhood. But this building’s most interesting feature is only fully appreciated in the warmer months. That’s when a massive carpet of vines sprouts green leaves and covered much of the rear, and part of the sides of the buildings. The vines are snaked around the windows making them look manicured, and their bright green foliage is a perfect contrast to the red exterior.
