Narrative
123 North Wacker is a very interesting building because of its conflicting styles. It is at once harmonious with other very-1980ʼs skyscrapers, and with something a little more ancient. The upper stories of the building are arranged in a shape reminiscent of a temple with an altar formation, topped by a pyramid illuminated from within at night. While itʼs an interesting idea, it is executed, perhaps, too subtly, and the effect is lost on the casual viewer.
